Client focused first. Since 2008, our firm has been focused on helping clients feel more secure about their financial affairs. Our first step is always to listen to the client and determine what the client’s short term and strategic needs are. Our solutions are not off the shelf – each client is presented with a unique strategy or solution to help them save, pay less taxes and become better off.

We help our clients get more organized and stay on top of payroll and HST filing through our bookkeeping services. We consult and advise on business start-ups and franchises. Business cases for financing are one of our specialties. We work with each client to develop safe income tax strategies to minimize the amount you pay. Corporate Tax Returns T2s are a strength area for our practice – we love working with owner managers to help them grow their business and capital.

James Abbott CPA, CMA (Jamie) holds an Honours BA in Business Management from the University of Toronto at Scarborough and is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Management Accountant. Before starting his own practice, James Abbott worked in Capital Markets for a big bank and was the Director of Finance for their Global Treasury division. Jamie’s outgoing personality, direct pragmatic approach and creative business acumen have make the difference in assisting. Jamie is engaging, strategic and proactive.

In the community, Jamie is President of the Pickering Business Professional Association and Treasurer to a Competitive Soccer Team. Previously Jamie served in Rotary, was the Vice President and Treasurer of the Durham Home and Small Business Association and VP of his local BNI Chapter.

When he’s not helping clients, Jamie likes to spend time driving the kids to hockey or soccer or if there’s time cycling all over Durham and York Region.

Richard Morton, CPA – Accounting Manager. Richard excels at helping clients plan, optimize taxes and grow businesses. Richard excels at simplifying complex transactions and getting clients on track. Richard bring a fresh perspective from the best current practices to each client. Richard is a member of the Whitby Business Professional Association. In his spare time, Richard loves watching movies, hanging with his friends and video games.

Khadija Butt, BComm Honors is a 2017 Graduate from the University Of Ontario Institute Of Technology and a CPA student. She also has a master’s degree in Political Science and professional diploma in aesthetics. She believes that her diverse educational background has helped her to be creative and think out of the box. She is focused on finding efficient ways to help small businesses stay on track with their Bookkeeping and compliance with CRA guidelines. In her spare time she loves to cook and travel with three lovely sons.
